Mar­ten is a sound artist, audio engi­neer and music edu­ca­tor with a focus on elec­tro­nic sounds and com­pu­ter music.

Mar­ten would like to give ever­yo­ne a low-thres­hold, open and enthu­si­a­stic access to elec­tro­nic music. The inter­ac­tion of musi­cal-crea­ti­ve design with sci­en­ti­fic-tech­ni­cal con­tent always inspi­res him. He is also con­cer­ned with ques­ti­ons of eco­lo­gi­cal and social sustainability.

Mar­ten See­dorf aka Auto­ma­ten builds sound instal­la­ti­ons and instru­ments, wri­tes songs and lyrics, pro­du­ces pod­casts, adds music to short films, spins mas­hups and chip­tu­nes and was and is acti­ve in various band pro­jects (Flim­mer, Antän­ne, Anda and any­thing else, Hold, Ron­ny). Mar­ten stu­di­ed music and its media­ti­on at the Uni­ver­si­ty of Olden­burg in her bachelor's degree. This was fol­lo­wed by a master's degree in audio com­mu­ni­ca­ti­on and tech­no­lo­gy at the TU Ber­lin. Over the years he has gai­ned a wide ran­ge of edu­ca­tio­nal expe­ri­ence as an instru­ment tea­cher, work­shop and advan­ced trai­ning lea­der and uni­ver­si­ty lec­tu­rer. In addi­ti­on to a num­ber of artis­tic pro­jects as the initia­tor of lev, he is curr­ent­ly main­ly dedi­ca­ted to com­mu­ni­ca­ting elec­tro­nic music cul­tu­re in Berlin.
