Omer Eilam is a musician based in Falkensee. He composes electroacoustic music and plays synthesizers, piano, and flute.
Originally from Tel Aviv, he holds university degrees in neuroscience, computational biology, and music. He completed a Master’s degree at the Institute of Sonology, where he focused on the music of Karlheinz Stockhausen.
In 2017 he began working as a sound projectionist and synthesizer creator for the Holland Festival’s Aus LICHTproduction. In 2019 he became active in the environmental movement, co-founding Extinction Rebellion’s online activist radio, writing essays on the relationship between humans and nature, and composing a piece dedicated to the activists defending the Hambach Forest.
As a composer, his work ranges from the sonification of heavenly bodies to the exploration of imaginary ecosystems. In parallel to his artistic work, he facilitates experimental and electronic music education projects where the focus is on the experience and art of listening itself.
